My Purpose in Privacy

A lot of people in my life are private about what goes on in their lives and I for one do not blame them. There are a lot of things that happen to people behind the scenes that many do not know although their social media or their face may say otherwise. For me, this is a regular occurrence, mainly because I enjoy my privacy.

About a year ago, I applied for a job outside of where I currently live was. This was a job I could learn from and love because it was in my field. I decided at the time to leave when my lease was up to start the job and figure everything else out as I went. Come to find out did not get the job I had believed, I had to backtrack because I gave my intent to leave and my place was now leased to someone else. I never really explained it to anyone because I was completely embarrassed. I really felt like I messed up big time. I took my "L" in private.

There are instances where I have felt that it is alright to broadcast to the world some great news like when you've started a new business, you've graduated, you did something great because for the longest you were down. Not everyone operates that way though. Some people enjoy letting others into their lives for each thing, I happen to not be one of them.

I am purposefully private and silent to an extent in my life because I do not like the way I feel when I lose something basically everyone knew I wanted. I do not like the questions about what happened to so and so or weren't you working at xyz? Mainly I do not want to feel like I have disappointed someone whether it be family or a friend. That is just how I am and that is okay.

Your purpose may be that you just want your privacy for awhile. Don't let anyone deter you from what you feel is right for you.
