When did you start?/ How long have you been going? It initially started in 2018. Most of the products were made in 2018 and 2019 were given away as gifts/ samples. I've been using our products on my children since 2018.
What inspired you to create your business and how did you motivate yourself to keep going when things were difficult? I resigned from a State government job in January 2018 while homeless with mt children. I made up in my mind that when I received my retirement, I decided to invest in my family. I wanted to leave a legacy for my children. Or at least show them that they could start a business on their own as they get older. During difficult times, I get frustrated at the lack of progress. Working a full-time job and taking care of a 3 and 5-year-old at my age can be exhausting and overwhelming at times. I just push myself to continue. As time progresses, and I get in those moments of frustration, I make sure that the times of frustration are shorter by reminding myself of who I'm doing this for. It helps to light a fire under my tail and keep on pushing.
What Book Are You Currently Reading? Honestly, at this time, the most reading of books I've done are kids' books.
Who is your Biggest Inspiration? I would have to say that my biggest inspiration is my children.
Name a favorite business website? I've recently been watching youtube videos of people who have become entrepreneurs.
How do you define success? Don't compare your growth and progress to others. Don't give up on yourself.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given? Don't give up on yourself.
