Today, I want to introduce you to Candace Green, the author of The illusion of Fear: How to live your best fear free life
When did you start?/ How long have you been going?
I started writing this book about 2 and a half years ago. I’ve had a few people ask me about the next book, so we’ll see.
What inspired you to create your business and how did you motivate yourself to keep going when things were difficult?
This could be a long story, but I’ll keep it short. I grew up in a household where myself and my brother were abused physically and mentally. It made me anxious and scared of everyone. Although I’ve gotten exponentially better at public speaking, writing was always an outlet for me. I knew I wasn’t alone in how I had been feeling, so I wrote about it. The most difficult thing was deciding to be vulnerable. I didn’t want to be seen as weak. It’s something I still struggle with honestly.
What Book Are You Currently Reading?
Ugh, this is horrible. Nothing at the moment, but when things settle down I’ll start reading regularly again.
Who is your Biggest Inspiration?
I don’t think there is a person. I am determined to not make the same mistakes as those that care before me. That’s what keeps me going.

How do you define success?
Now, of course, there is the monetary side to success; I’m not going to sit here and tell you that money isn’t important. I’d like to be able to live a comfortable life and make sure my children (and hopefully their children), can do the same. In addition to that, if I’ve touched just one person with my words, or actions, then I’m successful. It’s all about the legacy you leave behind. When Kobe passed, the world stopped. That’s success.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Do it afraid.
